Our story dates back to 1954, the year Bob Russo purchased his first truck in Jersey City, NJ and operated as a pickup and delivery carrier serving the grocery industry in the greater NY and NJ market. In the late 1960’s, partnering with Tony Becker, a friend he met while working side – by – side in a New Jersey National Guard truck depot brought them into the Public Warehousing business as well.

Their hard work and perseverance quickly earned a reputation for reliability and professionalism, and built the company that would become Port Jersey Logistics. Today, more than a half-century later, the organization founded on this reputation remains committed to constantly growing and adapting with the times and exceeding the evolving needs of their customers.

In 2004, Rob Russo, Bob’s son, became president and, along with his team, continues in the entrepreneurial tradition of our founders – challenging the status quo and creating value added solutions that make sense and bring value to our clients’ supply chains.

Going into the future, Port Jersey Logistics continues to be lead by Rob Russo and is one of the leading 3PL companies on the East Coast. By continuing to expand our business operations of Tyler Distribution, Continental Logistics, along with 21st Century Distribution – we continue to service our clients beyond what their needs of today are.
